I’m not sure why I’m so fond of the Druivencross. I just know that I really like it. Maybe, because it’s so hard. So many ups and downs, always muddy, maybe Namur is the most similar race, though that long and tricky off-camber is missing in Overijse. And so were the crowds, by the way. With most of the top riders away, it felt like a lot quieter than in previous years. Maybe next year? We shall see.
What I’m really looking forward to is next weekend’s race on Sunday in Zonhoven. It will be the first time that the race is held in December, instead of the usual late October – early November slot, so I’m really looking forward to shooting in different light.
If you like my work, why don’t you check out my cyclocross albums? You can still order them and have them arrive just before Christmas!
