After a nice 2 hour drive I arrived to Dalby Forest. There were plenty of signs so finding the venue wasn’t a problem. After picking up the accreditation, I headed to the media center that was situated a bit further up. The press center was a big tent, but it provided ample cover from the sun so it was ok.

I had a quick chat with Joolze and then headed out to the course. On the map it all looked fine, but I soon faced the ugly truth: the course is very long. Well, compared to other mountain bike courses probably it isn’t, but compared to cyclo-cross tracks, it is vast.

I’m not really satisfied with what I got today, it’s going to be really tricky tomorrow to get to everywhere I want to, so we’ll see. I guess I’ll call it a day, see you tomorrow.
