The first big milestone – my last cyclocross World Championships in an official capacity. It’s been a fantastic and emotional day. The atmosphere was wonderful, the racing was fantastic. I was excited to see Tom Pidcock winning his first ever elite cyclocross World Champion title, I am happy that I was a witness to that.
It’s a weird feeling I know this was my last #cxworlds, but it doesn’t feel like it. The natural flow of the season means that things ease up after the Worlds – I think the whole thing won’t really sink in until the beginning of the next season. There are only three weekends and four races left before I hang up my cyclocross badge for good, but first I’ll have to cross the ocean back to home. See you next week!
