And that’s how you organise a World Cup race. Enthusiastic spectators, facilities operating properly, great atmosphere and lightning fast internet. What else does one need? Oh, and the temperature was actually nice this year, which was a big win after the last couple of years’ incredibly hot race days.Â
I think it’s admirable that Trek puts so much weight behind this race and I think it shows. They also got lucky with the racing. For both races, we were treated to some great battles and the winner was anybody’s guess almost until the very last moments.Â
So, thanks for kicking of my cyclocross season with a great day and I’m already looking forward to next weekend’s race in Iowa City!
