The first day of the road races. The last day of dry weather. And even that is not entirely true – the U23 men’s race saw some rain at the end, just enough to wreak havoc on the last climbs, cause crashes and change the final outcome of the race. It will be interesting to see how things turn out tomorrow. One forecast said 100% chance for rain tomorrow, so it will be rather tricky for the junior men and the elite women.
