I was trying to book a Eurotunnel train or a ferry for next weekend’s last Superprestige race in Middelkerke, but as the school holidays kick off in the UK, everything was super expensive – I didn’t want to pay £160 for the privilege of crossing the channel at inconvenient times. So, after a quick chat with clients, I decided to come over for today’s race in Maldegem instead. Thus, I can get a few shots of MdvP and Wout Van Aert’s only race in a stripeless jersey of his current team, before he joins Jumbo Visma.
It’s hard to believe that there are only two races left from the season, it feels like it was just a few weeks ago, when I arrived in Waterloo for the first World Cup in the US. Time does fly.
