I like revisiting courses that I have shot before. The Jaarmarktcross in Niel is one of these courses: I’ve shot this race twice before, first in 2011 and then in 2012. I don’t have particularly fond memories of those occasions, but it’s been such a long time ago that it felt today like a totally new course. Naturally, it was slightly different, but the memory of the vague layout of the place helped me a lot to get around.
It was also the first rainy race this season. By this point, I guess we are all used to the cold and the rain is just another little problem we need to deal with. It has to be said, that many parts of the course were extremely slippery and it lend to nice shots. I think I like Niel.
