I might be wrong, but this was the first, properly rainy day of the 2016/2017 cyclocross season. There was some rain at Ruddervoorde, if I remember correctly, but proper, sustained rain evaded the season up until today. Not that it greatly mattered on the sandy course in Lille and it seemed that it didn’t really affect the spectator numbers either.
