The bpost bank trofee race in Sint-Niklaas was the winner of this year’s ‘Shortest drive to a cyclocross race’ award – it took me a laughable fifteen minutes to get from my HQ in Sinaai to the race venue this morning. That’s a win in my books.
Other than the aforementioned, prestigious prize, it was a usual, post-Worlds affair: everything feels a lot more relaxed, than usually. The top riders somehow aren’t that dominant as they used to be before the Worlds and races can shine, who normally only get to get away at the front for a few laps after the start. This time, it was Laurens Sweeck’s turn to shine.
In the meantime, my Kickstarter campaign has finished and was funded successfully. I would like to thank you for your support, for pledging money, for sharing it or just for a kind word or two about it. Thank you and I hope that those who joined me on this journey will enjoy the final product.
