This race was always going to be one of the highlights of the season: the last time Sven Nys stands on the start line of his home town’s race, the aptly named GP Sven Nys and the last time his fervent fans can cheer him on on home soil. While he couldn’t make the dream happen and didn’t win the race, the crowds made the race an unforgettable experience.
All eyes now turn on the upcoming national championships, but there is something I will be announcing in a few days, so watch this space, the announcement will come soon.
