In terms of the weather, today’s Superprestige race in Gieten felt like the extension of the summer, but the European cyclocross season has finally started for me. After spending almost a month in the US, I flew back to Europe on Friday, but it was anything but smooth. After a cancelled flight, I was put on another flight to Amsterdam, which was all good and dandy, but my luggage, with all my outdoor clothes and other bits and pieces for today’s race were left somewhere on the other side of the Atlantic.
Due to the weather, it was fine today, but it’s a bit annoying, that I was lugging around all that stuff for a month, “because I need these things in Gieten”, and then I don’t get to use them, because my bag is delayed. All is well that ends well, it was a dry day and my case should reach London by Monday.
On the racing side of things, we’ve seen another tour de force by Wout Van Aert, I wonder who’s going to stop this guy, I wonder whether he will be able to hold this form until later in the season? Below can you find my selection of photos from today, I hope you enjoy it. More to come soon.

A smiling Sanne Cant before the start. Impressive to catch that and happy to see 🙂
