The end of the 2015 Giro Rosa is nigh and today’s penultimate stage was a true test. Only 20 kilometres, but they were brutal kilometres. The main descent was very technical and then the following climb was equally challenging.
I like time trials, as it gives a lot more control for us, photographers, you know almost exactly which rider comes when and you can plan ahead, making sure that all your important riders are covered. To have a moto on top of that makes it really easy – and easy is good after eight days of hard work. Below are the photos, I’m a bit sad to see Megan Guarnier say goodbye to the Maglia Rosa – but it probably means an amazing battle for the win tomorrow, on that brutally long climb that is called as Stage 9.
