So it’s here: the 2015 Giro Rosa, the first edition I’m covering. I am not sure how reliable these updates end up being, as the days are going to be long and the transfers are going to be even longer, so there might be days when I simply won’t have the time to pull together a recap of the day.
The main takeaway from the first two days here, in Ljubljana was how awesome this city is. The word ‘vibrant’ is often used without merit, but it seems that there is something happening somewhere in the city, the people are very nice, even the taxi driver, who looked dodgy at first, but turned out to be a true gentleman and the ice cream is probably on par with Italy. I’m definitely planning on coming back here, maybe just a long weekend, if nothing else.

In case your visiting Lubljana again take a trip to Postojna Cave. You won’t regret it and I guess you’d bring back impressing pictures of this network of 20 km of underground passages.
