With only a few days until this season’s World Championships, I dug deep in my archives for some old photos. First off, I made a short edit of my photos from the races of the 2010 races in Tabor. Tomorrow, I’ll go through my favourite photos from all the previous races I’ve covered in Tabor. Enjoy!

The first ever buyer of my books.

An incredible save by Tom Meeusen. In the morning, this section of the course got some sunshine and it thawed quite a lot. However, for the afternoon race of the U23, the sun was gone and it froze, making it very tricky for the U23 to tackle.

As far as I know, the Szczepaniak brothers were the first siblings to occupy the top of the podium of a major cyclocross race. However, news broke a few weeks later that they were drugged up to their ears. Consequently, Arnaud Jouffroy was awarded with the win.

Balint, just as much as I appreciate every photo you’ve ever taken, these are a perfect showcase of the progress you’ve made in the last 5 years as a photographer. I’m really impressed.

The same goes for the sport itself and the bike industry. It’s been just 5 years ago – just look how different the bikes were at that time!

Hi Wojtek, Thanks for your kind words. It is indeed interesting to see these old photos and to see the progress.

Great throwback, Balint! Did you manage to get to the last WC race? Would love to see photos from it!
