I like the course in Hasselt. It’s flat and it doesn’t offer that much in terms of spectacle but it’s rideable in the worst weather conditions and there is a mighty ditch not long after the start that looks awesome as the riders bunny hop over it at crazy speeds.
Also, this was the first year that they held a race for women and while Helen Wyman was fighting hard to hold Sanne Cant back, Cant pipped her in the final sprint. Great to see Gabby Durrin on the podium though.
Tomorrow is Asper-Gavere, my favourite course, it is said to be very, very muddy, so tomorrow will be a grand day. More to come soon.
And don’t forget, that the perfect Christmas gift for that special someone in your life who loves cyclocross could be the very nice and very coffee table 2012/2013 book!

Hi, cyclephotos!
I really love your pictures! Sorry, but I don’t know if someone already asked – are you preparing another cyclo-cross photo book for 2013-2014? Thanks for respond! 🙂
It’s indeed nice to see Gaby Durrin on the podium. Nice pic: the 3 ladies full of smiles.
I missed the live feed of this race, can you post more pictures of that ditch, that’s just crazy! Was everybody hopping it?
I saw the live feed and didn’t notice anyone dismounting. The tv cameras mostly showed the riders from head on. Most made it look like a casual little bunny hop. Until I saw this picture I had no idea it was so wide and deep.
Thank you again Balint for the excellent pictures.
Wonder if there were any riders who didn’t make it over the ditch…
Great pictures as usual!
The Bosmans/Walsleben comparison is so different because Walsleben crashed on the barriers and took a head-first full mudbath..
Cool pics! After re-watching at the race it appears that Philipp Walsleben trip over the second tree trunk.
