A friend of mine said once that cyclocross is the Belgian’s crickett: a sport that is unknown for the rest of the world but in a handful countries it’s one of the most important sports. The media attention therefore was accordingly massive in Tabor at the World Championships and I found it amazing how many reporter/tv crew/photographer tried to have a chat with the riders right after the race.
