I’ve been a bit lazy recently and I haven’t done the usual tagging of my photos from the last couple races, so today I decided that I’ll catch up with the keywords. This means that I go through every photo I had taken during a certain race and tag accordingly (i.e. with the name of the rider). It is an arduous task, but at the end of the season, I have a great database of photos and if I want to find photos of, say, Gerben De Knegt, I can find all of them in seconds.
And then I heard that Aperture 3 has just been released and it has a face-recognition functionality. Wow, I thought, this could really make my job easier! So I downloaded the trial version immediately and set out to find out, how it works and whether I can implement it into my workflow or not.
