The last month was especially frantic and now I can share you why: I have been working on a book about 2009/2010 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup season. 160 pages of sheer cyclo-cross action. The idea came a couple days before Christmas and while people were busy celebrating on New Year’s Eve, I was busy going through my archives to find the best frames. It was a frantic month, this was my first book and I have made many mistakes at the expense of my designer, Kriszta, who was lovely and very patient.
The book consist of nine chapters, each World Cup round constitutes a chapter. Since this sport is dominated by the Flemish and the Czech, I wanted to make the book as available as possible for them as well, therefore the text has been translated to Dutch and Czech, hopefully, nothing was lost in translation 🙂
The printed copies are ready to be transported to Tabor, as I’ll have a tent at the expo area during the Worlds, so if you are coming see the World Championships, make sure that you pop around our booth and take a look at the book, buy a copy, if you liked it or just have a friendly chat with me, as I won’t be working from the press center this time, but from the tent. It would be great too meet you guys, who keep coming back and visit my site.
In case you are not coming to the Czech Republic this weekend, well, I have a solution for you, too! Visit the shop, where you can buy a copy (or two) from your armchair. Sending out the copies will start on Tuesday (as soon as I’m back from Tabor).
