Now, that the 2009/2010 cyclo-cross season is just a wee bit less than three weeks away, I will post pictures of the most important racers from the previous season.
I didn’t know with whom should I start, but the today’s stage at the Vuelta gave me the answer: Lars Boom.
He was the World Champion in 2008 and everybody expected similarly good results from him for the 2008/2009 season. It didn’t really happen, though he managed to win two World Cup races, he finished only 5th at the overall World Cup standings and even though he led the first lap during the World Championship race, he finished up at a disappointing 20th place.
Admittedly, from this year he plans to shift focus from cyclo-cross racing to road and today’s stage win shows, that he’s probably on the right track.
