CX Summer Series, #4 @ Herne Hill, London
The first race of the season is always exciting, regardless of the importance of the race. It was the same race at Herne Hill last year that kicked off my season and and the 2012/2013 season has started here, too. It is a very laid back and relaxed event, I managed to catch up with some friends and it was great to see the next generation competing.
This obviously didn’t mean that the riders didn’t take the actual racing seriously, quite the contrary. The race started a bit late, thus the lights were turned on for the last couple of laps, which made the race all the more spectacular. And with that, the 2012/2013 season has officially started (for me at least), bring it on!
