The winner in Leogang: Greg Minnaar. This was the muddiest race in my life, will take ages to clean the gear. But first things first: now I need to catch my plane back to London.
This is bloody hard. I’ve been to a couple of downhill courses but this is the steepest, craziest so far, hands down. Most of the course is very steep, it’s very tricky to get around for us, photographers, fortunately, there’s a dirt track next to the course, so it’s not impossible, but definitely very challenging.
It’s all over here, in Fort William, the downhill finals have ended, Sabrina Jonnier and Gee Atherton have won their respective finals. Great day, no rain, lots of action. As usually, I need to run to catch my bus back to London, so for now just two photos from today: the two winners. More to ...
Not long after the downhill qualifiers, the 4X finals took place. It started at 6pm, the dusk started to settle in but we still had plenty of light – it didn’t really make sense to use strobes, at least not extensively.
The 4X race is about to start so this is just a quick update with photos from the downhill qualifications.
