UCI World Cup Cyclo-cross 09/10: Women's race in Hoogerheide, Netherlands
Pre-race moments - Daphny Van Den Brand picks up the electronic sensor, just a few minutes before start.
I think, this is one my favourite "portrait" shots of the season, featuring Hanka Kupfernagel, deep in thought.
Gloomy thoughts for Sanne Van Paassen
Similarly to Roubaix, the organizers changed the direction of the course so that dreaded downhill section became... a dreaded climb. Sanne Cant, the Belgian Champion climbs the aforementioned ascent.
Daphny Van Den Brand and Marianne Vos
I quite like this photo, I managed to find a place where the two flashes lights the subjects dramatically and my point of view isn't blocked by passing riders.
Japanese rider, Toyooka Ayako
Katerina Nash's ride wasn't as impressive as last week in Roubaix, nonetheless, she looked determined.
Caroline Mani
Sanne Cant
Marianne Vos, the winner of the race and the runner-up of the World Cup title.
Danish National Champion, Nikoline Hansen had some technical difficulties, so she crossed the finish line on foot. Hopefully, she'll have better luck in Tabor next week.
And the winner is: Daphny Van Den Brand. She won the World Cup title with consistent racing througout the season. Congratulations!
